The renovation of the addition to a 1925 home in Old West Lawrence, this project created a primary bedroom and bath oasis for the old house's new owners. While space is plentiful, a new, thickened wall efficiently defines and houses functions from the enlarged shower to a television cabinet and salvaged maple shelving. A custom mix of Heath tile features in the shower, along with limestone flooring that echoes the materiality of the locale. The detailing throughout the project is stripped down with the goal of establishing a calm, peaceful retreat within the historic home.
